Environmental Policy
Lumishore is committed to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices within our business operations. We strive to reduce energy consumption, minimize our waste, and to use renewable energy sources wherever possible. We are dedicated to promoting sustainable practices throughout our supply chain. We continually assess our processes and products to identify ways to reduce our environmental impact. We are passionate about protecting the environment and promoting positive environmental change. We are committed to educating our employees and customers about the importance of sustainability and working together to ensure a healthier, more sustainable future for generations to come.
Lumishore is 100% committed to supporting the Paris Climate Agreement. We have
developed a comprehensive sustainability strategy and have set ourselves the target of
making our own operations carbon-neutral by 2030.
Our policy is to:
- Design and manufacture products that are energy efficient, minimise energy usage and produce the minimum amount of waste heat
- Build a culture of sustainability through the whole company
- Comply with or exceed the requirements of current environmental legislation and
codes of practice - Minimise our waste and reuse or recycle as much of it as possible
- Use recyclable packaging for our products
- Work with suppliers to implement re-cyclable or re-usable packaging
- Use local suppliers wherever possible to minimise the environmental impact of
transport - Actively work to find alternatives to any hazardous chemicals used in our production process
- Reduce the use of single use plastics, and work towards eliminating them
completely - Minimise energy and water usage in our operations through the elimination of
waste - Minimise our consumption of natural resources, especially where they are non-renewable
- Work towards only using renewable resources
- Minimise national and international travel through the use of remote meeting software and technology
- Operate and maintain company vehicles (where appropriate) with due regard to
environmental issues - Encourage the use of alternative means of transport and car sharing as appropriate
- Use our continuous improvement processes to reduce or eliminate all types of
pollution (e.g. air, water, noise and light pollution) from our premises - Reduce any environmental impacts from our operations on the local community

ensure that they do the least damage to the environment - Work with suppliers and customers to continuously reduce the environmental
impact through the whole supply chain - Assess the environmental impact of any new processes or products we intend to
introduce during the design process - Work to use recycled, or recyclable materials in our products and packaging
